Just 15 minutes away lies Chester, with its fine shops and restaurants, cathedral, zoo, amphitheatre, racecourse, medieval timber-framed galleried streets, and the finest complete set of surviving Roman city walls in the country. There is easy touring from here to a variety of places. Tatton Park, Beeston Castle and Little Moreton Hall are within easy reach. North Wales coast 20 miles. Several golf courses (some championship) within 5 miles. Horse riding and coarse fishing locally. |
